SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – An old, inoperable gun was found at the General Motors site by crews clearing brush and debris, Sleepy Hollow police said.
The Mauser-style pistol was found near Beekman Avenue inside the wrought-iron fencing around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 28. Chief Gregory Camp said the gun was missing internal mechanisms and other parts and had no bullet in the chamber.
Camp said no other firearms have been found on the property.
