Martin Oliveros, 24, surrendered to police following a three-day search after a 37-year-old Bronx man was struck near the intersection of North Avenue and Quaker Ridge Road on Saturday morning following an altercation.

The victim, who has not been identified, remains in critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx after he was dragged by Oliveros’ Toyota Tacoma before slipping under the rear wheel after the two exchanged words.

According to police, about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oliveros' truck made contact with the victim’s BMW, which led to a heated verbal argument after the two pulled over to the side of North Avenue.

Then, unexpectedly, Oliveros sped off, dragging his victim who was later found in the middle of traffic, bleeding, police said.

Oliveros has been charged with first-degree assault, a class B felony.
