Manager Of Tarrytown Bank Charged In $1,000 Theft

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – The manager of a Tarrytown bank has been accused of stealing $1,000 from a Tarrytown resident.

Javier Echeverria, 28, of the Bronx, N.Y., has been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police charged Echeverria after a woman left her wallet at the Tarrytown Centre Chase Bank on Oct. 2, retrieved it and discovered $1,000 in cash was missing. The woman reported nothing else had been taken from her wallet.

Echeverria was arraigned and released. He will appear in Tarrytown Village Court on Oct. 31.

Police also reported the following items:

• A Prospect Avenue resident saw a possibly injured coyote on the Hitachi property on Oct. 5.

• Police charged Terence Capucci, 22, and Jonathan Paul, 27, with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor after breaking up a bloody fight at the Set Back Inn around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 5.

• Police issued seven underage drinking violations to a group of EF School students after breaking up a drinking party at the Skate Shack on Neperan Road around 12:20 a.m. on Oct. 5.

• A motorist reported he had been sideswiped by a Tappan Zee Express bus traveling west on Central Avenue on Oct. 4.
