New York State Police troopers conducted a traffic stop shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday, when they spotted East Fishkill resident Eric Johnson committing a violation while driving his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant.

During the stop, it was determined that the 52-year-old Johnson was under the influence of alcohol, and that his license had been revoked due to prior DWI charges.

Johnson was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated with two prior convictions, both felonies.

Following his arraignment, Johnson was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Mount Pleasant Court on Thursday to answer the charges.
