Man Speeding On I-95 Had More Than Two Pounds Of Pot, Police Say

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A 48-year-old man was busted with more than two pounds of marijuana and an illegal weapon after being stopped for speeding on I-95 in New Rochelle over the weekend.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, New York State Police troopers stopped Manhattan resident Brian Wilson on the interstate for a speeding violation.

During the subsequent stop, troopers determined that Wilson was found to be in possession of more than two pounds of marijuana and a Vipertek electronic stun gun.

Wilson was arrested at the scene, transported to state police barracks in New Rochelle and charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon and a vehicle and traffic violation. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday morning at the City of New Rochelle Court.
