Man Held Following Tarrytown Home Invasion

Update: Tarrytown Police charged Nathaniel Greenhill, 54, of Yonkers with second-degree burglary, a violent felony, ini connection with the attempted home invasion.

TARRYTOWN, N.Y – A man who attempted a home invasion on Benedict Avenue on Tuesday was taken into custody three hours later, Tarrytown Police report. 

Police have not identifed the man, but they say he entered the home through an open window around noon and was startled by the homeowner.

The man fled the house and the homeowner called the Tarrytown Police Department.  

Westchester County police, Greenburgh police and Irvington police also responded to the call.
