Man, 29, Charged With Driving Stolen Lexus In Taconic State Parkway Stop

PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- A Queens man has been charged by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Cortlandt Barracks with driving a stolen vehicle following a stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley on Tuesday, police said.

Troopers stopped a northbound 2007 Lexus on the Taconic State Parkway for speeding. During the investigation, they discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen to the NYPD. The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Tyquan Long, was taken into custody and transported to the Cortlandt Barracks.

Long was officially charged with criminal possession of stolen property (third degree), a Class D felony, and transported to the City of Peekskill Police Department and is awaiting arraignment.
