IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Irvington police issued 39 summonses for various traffic violations during a selt belt enforcement campaign on Wednesday.
Two people were arrested for operating vehicles while the registration was suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor, police said.
The campaign included checkpoints on Route 9, East Sunnyside Lane and Langdon Avenue between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Police focused on the 2013 “Buckle-Up New York” campaign, but several checkpoints also focused on illegal through-trucking on East Sunnyside and Langdon Avenue, police said.
