ID Released For Man Killed In Crash That Caused I-95 Closure

A 28-year-old  man was killed early Thursday night when his motorcycle crash on a stretch of  I-95 in Rye, leading to the closure of all lanes for approximately an hour.

State police said they were called to the scene near the I-287 junction at about 7 p.m.

Investigation at the scene revealed that Angus Y. Chu of Flushing in Queens was operating a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on I-95 when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected, state police said. Chu was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation.
