State police stopped Alejandro Martinez, 29, for speeding at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
When troopers began an investigation into Martinez, they found that he was driving under the influence and had a revoked license due to a prior DWI. He was also supposed to be driving a vehicle with an ignition interlock device because of the DWI, police said.
A test of his blood alcohol content registered at 0.08 percent. He was charged with:
- Driving while intoxicated
- Aggravated unlicensed operation
- Operating a motor vehicle with no ignition interlock device
- Multiple vehicle and traffic violations
Martinez was arraigned before the Town of Cornwall Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.
