Greenburgh Police Charge Two In Drive-By Shooting

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh Police charged two men on Thursday in connection to the drive-by shooting that took place in Winthrop Avenue on Tuesday, according to officials.

Dean O. Shand, 28, of Yonkers and Richard B. Roper, 26, of White Plains were identified as suspects after an investigation and are charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Shand and Roper allegedly drove up to the residence at 151 Winthrop Ave. on Tuesday evening and fired five shots and fled the scene, police said. 

The two suspects are being held pending arraignment, police said.
