Greenburgh Police Arrest Pair Of Young Burglary Suspects

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- A pair of young, homeless burglary suspects was arrested over the weekend after a home alarm went off in Hartsdale.

Greenbugh police said they found Milton Dominguez, 18, and Nilda Romero, 21, hiding behind a gas station at 245 S. Central Ave. about 1:20 p.m. on Saturday.

Both were cahrged with felony second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief. 

 According to Greenburgh police, a neighbor observed the pair of suspects fleeing from a home on Marion Avenue in the Hartsdale section of the town about 12:57 p.m. after hearing the home's burglar alarm. 

Police said Dominguez had cut himself as a result of breaking into the home and was treated for his injuries. Dominguez had a prior arrest on Aug. 10 in the Bronx on a fourth-degree grand larceny charge. He also had entered a guilty plea on a fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property charge in Greenburgh Town Court on Aug. 12 but had not been sentenced.

Dominguez and Romero were arraigned in Greenburgh Town Court. Bail was set at $6,000 for Dominguez and $2,500 for Romero.
