Greenburgh Man Busted With Stolen Property Taken From Cars, Police Say

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A Greenburgh resident was arrested in Tuckahoe after a Bronxville homeowner reported that two of his vehicles had been burglarized overnight.

The Bronxville Police Department received a report at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 13 from a Valley Road resident that reported that his vehicles had been entered overnight and specific items had been taken from the cars.

Following the report, officers from the Bronxville and Tuckahoe Police Department canvassed the area, leading to the arrest of 58-year-old Greenburgh resident James Mitchell, who was tracked down in Tuckahoe.

Mitchell was found to be in possession of stolen property that belonged to the victim in Bronxville, police said. He was subsequently arrested and charged with fifth-degree petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
