Flooding Closes Irvington Streets

Update 12:50 a.m.: All roads are open except South Astor Street by the Public Works Garage, officials say.

"Please travel with caution as there is a large amount of debris (rocks, tree branches, dirt, leaves) on roadways through the Village," notice from the village said.

Update 11:45 a.m.: Broadway at Harriman has partially reopened, officials said.

Station Road has also reopened. South Astor Street remains closed.

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Several streets in Irvington are closed to traffic because of flooding.

Broadway at Harriman Road, the Station Road Tunnel and the bottom of Main Street are closed Monday because of heavy rain, officials said.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning Monday. It expires at 1:30 p.m.
