Firefighters Contain Sleepy Hollow Roof Fire

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Sixteen people were displaced after a fire in an apartment in Sleepy Hollow Wednesday, Lohud reported.

Approximately 40 firefighters worked to extinguish a blaze in Sleepy Hollow on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Firefighter from Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Dobbs Ferry, Briarcliff Manor, Valhalla and Ossining helped extinguish the blaze.

Lohud reported that police had not yet determined a cause.

The fire did not spread to the rest of the building at 172 Cortlandt St.
