Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale announced the arrests of Bronx residents Chaz Broadnax, 26, and Andrew Barrington, 29, who were busted cashing a fake check worth $13,963.20 at a local bank.

A bank manager at a Bronxville branch alerted police at 2:10 p.m. on April 13 that the two men were attempting to complete the fraudulent transaction, leading to a brief investigation, which led them to Broadnax and Barrington, who were subsequently arrested.

Both men were charged with a felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Following arraignment by Judge George Mayer, Broadnax and Barrington were remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Each is due back in court later this month to answer the charges against them.
