Dozens Cited For Child Restraint Violations In Checkpoint Near Taconic

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A total of 63 tickets were issued during a seatbelt checkpoint just off the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown on Saturday, state police said.

The checkpoint, at the entrance to the FDR Park, resulted in 43 parents being cited for child restraint violations, police said.

There were 16 seatbelt violations and four other violations, according to police.

The detail was conducted as part of the Buckle Up NY campaign.
