IRVINGTON, N.Y. -Police, firefighters and Con Edison were on Park Avenue in Irvington Friday morning after a car drove into a building.

There were no injuries in the accident, which occurred at about 9 a.m. at 80 Park Ave., however a gas line was ruptured, Irvington Fire Chief James Ruffler said.

Police were still investigating the cause of the accident, but Ruffler said the motorist apparently lost control of his car.

“He wasn't even in the car when we got here,” Ruffler said. “He was walking around.”

Several people were inside the house when the car struck the building, Ruffler said.
