William Vollrath, 83, Longtime Tarrytown Resident

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – William Vollrath, a longtime Tarrytown resident, died July 2. He was 83.

Born Oct. 21, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of August and Ruth Habnett Vollrath. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. Vollrath had a long career in human resources with the New York Police Department. On June 30, 1957, he married Jacqueline De Maria at Holy Spirit Church in Bronx, N.Y.

Vollrath is survived by his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Dimitriou; a sister, Peggy Sivilli; and twin granddaughters.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. Funeral services will be held Monday at a time to be announced at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville. A private burial ceremony will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
