SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. - Wilfredo Gonzalez, a longtime resident of Sleepy Hollow, died Aug. 22. He was 81.
Gonzalez was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Cuba, he came to America in 1952. He began his career at Tappan Hill. He then worked for the Hilton, retiring after 35 years of service.
Gonzalez is survived by his loving wife, Caridad; sons, Wilfredo Gonzalez Jr. and fiancé Lisa DiMele of Tarrytown, David (Betsie) Gonzalez of Casselberry, Fla., Douglas Gonzalez of Sleepy Hollow; and a grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Tricia Nostrand-Gonzalez.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 at Dwyer & Vanderbilt Funeral Home, Tarrytown. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
