TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Theresa A. Ippolito of Tarrytown died Dec. 2. She was 87.
Ippolito was born June 23, 1926, in New Haven, Conn., to Alfonso and Theresa Napolitano Passariello. She graduated in 1944 from North Tarrytown High School. She worked for Grand Union for many years, and worked for more than 24 years as a cashier in the Morse School Cafeteria. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of the Tarrytown Seniors, the Senior Canteen and the Tarrytowners. She was a charter member of Riverside Hose Co. #4 Ladies Auxiliary.
Ippolito is survived by her daughter, Maryann Ippolito of Portsmouth, N.H.; and two grandchildren; sister, Adeline Cascio of Va.; brother, Alfonso of Sleepy Hollow; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Benny; sisters, Mary Dandreano and Filomena Tanzillo; and brother, Saverio Passariello.
Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 5 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Immaculate Conception Church with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
