Salvatore Firrincieli, 85. Sleepy Hollow Resident

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Salvatore Firrincieli of Sleepy Hollow died Dec. 16. He was 85.

Firrincieli was born June 27, 1930, in Sicily. He worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed family, fishing, gardening and creating art with his mechanical abilities.

Firrincielli is survived by his wife, Giovanna; two daughters, Maria Rosa and her husband Bobby Camia of Briarcliff Manor, and Sylvana of Sleepy Hollow; a daughter-in-law Laura Firrincieli of Mahopac; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin (her husband Ryan Sanford) and Andrew Camia, Robert, Matthew, and Stephen Firrincieli.

His son, Vincent Firrincieli, predeceased him by nine years.

Interment was at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
