Mauterstock was born July 17, 1920, in Tarrytown, N.Y., to Louisa and Joseph Carpenter. She moved from Tarrytown with her husband to Longmeadow, in 1960 where they lived for over 40 years.
Mauterstock is survived by her son, Robert, Jr. (Mary); a granddaughter; and brother, Guy of Baltimore, Md. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert; and brothers, Joe and John.
A Celebration of Mauterstock’s life is planned for the spring on Cape Cod. She will be buried next to her husband in Walton, N.Y.
