TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Peter G. Saracelli Sr., a lifelong resident of the Tarrytowns, died Nov. 27. He was 93.
Saracelli was born June 28, 1919, to Salvatore and Virginia Saracelli in North Tarrytown. He worked for General Motors Corp. as an assembler for more than 36 years. He served in the Army during World War II.
He also worked at Frank’s Florist in Greenburgh for 19 years. He was a member of the Tarrytown Seniors as well as UAW Local 664. He was also a member of American Legion Post 506 in Ossining.
Saracelli is survived by a son, Peter (Carol) Saracelli Jr., of Tarrytown; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Mondelli Saracelli, in 2008.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday at Transfiguration Church. Coffey Funeral Home handled arrangements.
