Olive Nixon Flagg, 93, Of Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown

SLEEPY HOLLOW/TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Olive Nixon Flagg of Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown, formerly of White Plains, died Oct. 24. She was 93.

Flagg was born June 7, 1920, in Marinette, Wisc. She lived in Florida working for American Airlines prior to her marriage to Fredrick Flagg. They moved to White Plains, New York where she rejoined the workforce in 1976, first with cover-girl temp agency and then as a legal clerk with Gannett Newspaper for 15 years. Retirement followed in 1993 at the age of 73. She resided in Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown for 37 years.

Flagg is survived by five children; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; two sons-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings; and former husband, Fredrick.

Memorial service with interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery will be forthcoming in the Spring of 2014 with family and friends. The date of the service will be announced at a later time.
