Olga Toth, 85, Former Longtime Tarrytown Resident

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Olga Mary Toth, a Tallahassee, Fla., resident who was a former longtime Tarrytown resident, died on Saturday, Jan. 16. She was 85.

Born in North Tarrytown, Toth was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School. She was a member and past president of the Washington Engine Company 2 Ladies Auxiliary.

Toth was also the former proprietor of the Set Back Inn in Tarrytown.

She is survived by her sons, J. Scott Toth of Tarrytown and Jeffrey Toth of Tallahassee; grandchildren Scott, Matthew, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Samantha; great-grandchildren Declan, Tierney, Gus, Nora and Fiona; niece Pamela Rifenberg; great-niece Jill Swanson and her daughters Elyssa, Erika and Hallie Swanson.

Toth was predeceased by husband, Gustav Toth; parents, Bernat and Anna Meszaros Superak; sister Magdalen Mann; and nephew Peter Delanoy.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday morning, Jan. 22, at St. Teresa of Avila Church, with burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown assisted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
