Miriam V. Edwards, 87, Of Sleepy Hollow

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Miriam V. Edwards, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow, died Saturday, Jan. 9. She was 87.

Edwards was a secretary at St. Teresa's Church for many years, where she also was a parishioner and member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She had also been a member of the Old Mill Singers and a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church.

She is survived by her children John D. of Valhalla; Kenneth of Sleepy Hollow; Ann of N. Carolina; Joseph of Poughkeepsie; Robert of Las Vegas, NV; Maryann Hoblock of Patterson, NY; Christopher of Las Vegas, NV; and Janet Fanzolgher of Brewster. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her sister Ann Dunn of Sleepy Hollow and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband John J. Edwards as well as her sons Eugene, Mark and her sisters Therese and Elizabeth.

Miriam's family would also like to acknowledge and thank her caregiver Claudette Burke for the wonderful care she gave Miriam.
