MaryAnne McKay Potter, 79, Of Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – MaryAnne McKay Potter, of Tarrytown, died on Sunday, Aug. 30, at Phelps Memorial Hospital. She was 79.

Potter was born on July 3, 1936, in the Bronx to James Francis and Kathleen Agnes Carroll McKay.

She was a registered nurse in Westchester County, a financial analyst for Merrill Lynch in New York, and a member of the Female Accountants Association of Fairfield, Conn. and the Catholic Widows and Widowers of Scarsdale.

Potter was predeceased by her husband, James.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Peggy) DiCarlo and her husband, Fred of Pleasantville, and her son James Potter and his wife, Lily, of New York City, four grandchildren, her brother Richard McKay and his wife, Judy, and her sister, Kathleen Dunne.

Visiting hours are on Wednesday (today) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, located at 824 Scarsdale Avenue in Scarsdale.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville.
