Mary Helen Colligan, 76, Of Sleepy Hollow

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. — Mary Helen Colligan (Daly), of Sleepy Hollow, died March 6. She was 76.

She was born on Nov. 8, 1936, in North Tarrytown to Thomas and Catherine Lavelle Daly. She was educated in Tarrytown, and married to Thomas Francis Colligan in 1957.

Colligan worked as a waitress at Peter Pastors Restaurant in White Plains, for 17 years. After that, she worked at Whippoorwill Country Club in Armonk until she retired.

Colligan is survived by her sons, Thomas Francis Colligan, Todd James Colligan, Timmothy Patrick Colligan; her daughter Maryann Rizzi; two grandchildren; and a sister, Sally Ann Tobin (Daly). She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Moro, Marcella Lissey, Kathleen Ray, Peggy Daly and Catherine Daly; and by her in-laws, Ann and Thomas Colligan.

Calling hours are Sunday, March 10, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cortlandt Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be Monday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton-on-Hudson. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow.
