Leda V. Galella, 92, Longtime Sleepy Hollow Resident

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Leda V. Galella, a longtime resident of Sleepy Hollow died Saturday, Sept. 12. She was 92.

She was born in Casteldiere, Italy, on Dec. 3, 1922, to Carmine and Anna Dibenedetto DiFelice.

Galella came to the United States as a young girl. She married Armando "Chick" Galella in 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in North Tarrytown. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of St. Ann's Sodality and the Sleepy Hollow Seniors. 

She is survived by husband, Armando; sons, Armando (Susan) Park of Fort Meyers, Fla., Michael (Donna) Baer of Cortlandt Manor; grandchildren, Andrea Lattanzio, Melissa Volpe and Bryce Galella; great-grandchildren, A.J. Volpe, Mia Volpe, Ellis Rose Lattanzio, Luke Lattanzio; and siblings, Mario (Elinor) DiFelice and Brenda Galella.

Visitation will be at the Coffey Funeral Home today from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church with interment following at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
