SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Jean Marie Moon, 91, of Sleepy Hollow, died Friday, May 22, 2015.
Moon was born March 1, 1924, in North Tarrytown (now Sleepy Hollow) to Frank Sansevera Sr. and Jennie Marie Garzia.
She graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1942. She married Willis C. Moon Jr. in November 1953.
She worked at Eastern Aircraft in North Tarrytown during World War II, at Goldberg's Supply and then spent 30 years working in the Tarrytown Public School System.
Moon is survived by, four children, Robert (Cathy), Linda Butler, Gary (Susan) and Donna Cascone(John). Also surviving are grandchildren Melissa Reif, Melinda Vilches, Rachael Moon-Serna, Jason Doerr, Megan Doerr, Kimberly Moon and Katelyn Moon, nine great-grandchildren and her brother James.
Her husband died in 1993. She also was predeceased by brothers siblings Joseph, John and Frank Sansevera, and sisters, Mary (Esperito), Frances (Peduzzi) and Anna Leonelli and a granddaughter, Tanya Guziczek.
Visitation will be at the Dwyer & Vanderbilt Fumeral Home, 90 N. Broadway, Tarrytown from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Sleepy Hollow. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
