SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Giovanni Tucci, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, died June 14. He was 83.
Tucci was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Mirabello Sannitico, Campobasso, Italy, to Giuseppe and Maria Marano Tucci.
He emigrated to the United States in 1962, working for General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 664 and ITALO.
Tucci was predeceased by his parents, granddaughter Daniela Di Maio and his brother Luigi.
He is survived by his wife Josephine, three children, Joseph and his wife Regina of Pleasantville; Michael and his wife Nancy of Croton, and Maria Di Maio and her husband Joe of White Plains, five grandchildren, brothers Tomasso Tucci of Sleepy Hollow, Antonio Tucci of Croton and Emilio Tucci of Texas and sister Ambrosina Tucci of Italy.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Coffey Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church.
Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
