SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. - Filomena Tanzillo, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, died May 5. She was 91.
Tanzillo was born Jan. 18, 1922, to Alfonse and Theresa Napolitano Passariello in Schenectady. She was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors and had worked as an assembler for Mallory Battery.
Tanzillo is survived by her brother, Al (Judy) Passariello of Sleepy Hollow; sisters, Theresa Ippolito of Tarrytown and Adeline (Joseph) Cascio of Cold Spring; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Tanzillo; sister, Mary Dandreano; and brother, Saverio Passariello.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow. Interment follows at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
