TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Ethel Remenar, a lifelong resident of the Tarrytowns, died Nov. 26. She was 88.
Remenar was born Aug. 30, 1925, to Peter and Ethel Marshall Bachmann in North Tarrytown. She was a member of the Tarrytown Seniors, the Transfiguration Seniors, and the Leisure Club.
Remenar is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Guy Gagne) of Wappingers Falls, Diane (Michael Birrittella) of Ossining, and Jean (Manuel Ron) of Tarrytown; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John; and sisters, Dorothy and Joan.
Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home Inc. in Tarrytown. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Transfiguration Church. Interment follows at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
