SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Catherine 'Babe' Cappello, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, died May 24. She was 85.
Cappello was bornMay 11, 1930, in White Plains to Elario and Catherine Campari Frettoloso.
She graduated from White Plains High School and worked at Pergamon Press as a customer service representative.
She was predeceased by her husband Manny, brothers Gerry and Tony and sister Nicky Conway, and is survived by her children, Kathy Callan and her husband Jerry of Cranberry, Pa., Karen Boutross of Danbury, Conn. and E. Michael Cappello of Sleepy Hollow, grandchildren Matthew, Steven and Brian and her brother Albert Frettoloso of Texas.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Coffey Funeral Home, 91 N. Broadway, Tarrytown.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, 199 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
