Austin C. Crimmins of Croton-on-Hudson died unexpectedly on Friday, Dece. 30. He was 28 years old.

He was an artist, photographer, carpenter and writer. Austin was the recipient of the 2006 New York Browning Society Poetry Award and a graduate of Fordham Preparatory School and SUNY Purchase.

He was beloved by his mother, Margaret M. Connor; his late father Gerard J. Crimmins, twin brother, Derek Crimmins and his wife Jayoun Ku; grandmother Kathleen Connor-Larkin; godparents, Bernadette Dray and John Crimmins, Richard and Ann McKeague. Austin Is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, Jessica, Michael, Maeve and Benjamin Simmons, Colm, Colm Jr. and Brian Connor, Maeve, Mariah and George Koeltl, Nicole, Meaghan and Martin Crimmins, Myles Coady, John Farewell Juliette Rose Zerello, Gabriele and Andreas Montero and his loving girlfriend, Genesis Rodriguez.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3 from 3 p.m. to 8 pm at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 4, also at Holy Name of Mary Church. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne..
