SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. — Sleepy Hollow resident Anne DeCarlo Petry died Monday, May 16. She was 89.
Petry graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1945 and worked for more than 20 years as a secretary for the village of Ossining.
Petry is survived by her children and their spouses, John and his wife Maureen Petry, Mary Petry and her husband George Gerlanc, and Beth and her husband Peter Basha; her grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, John and Emma; her great-grandson Owen; her sister Joan Sypher; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Grover; her parents, Anna (Shroba) and Charles DeCarlo; her sister Lucille; and her brother-in-law, Arthur Ceconi.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, May 18, at Church of the Magdalene, 525 Bedford Road, Tarrytown.
Interment was at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
