Angelina J. 'Angie' Shaw, 93, Lifelong Sleepy Hollow Resident

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Angelina J. "Angie" Shaw, a lifelong Sleepy Hollow resident, died at home Saturday, April 11, at the age of 93. 

Born in North Tarrytown on Feb. 27, 1922, she was the daughter of Orazio and Carmela Lofaro Celtruda. A member of the National Honor Society, Shaw graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1940. She was married to Alfred E. Shaw. During World War II, Shaw was a volunteer nurse's aide at North Tarrytown Hospital. She also worked at Eastern Aircraft and after the war continued on at General Motors for 32 years. She volunteered at the Phelps Memorial Hospital Center gift shop for 15 years and was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors. 

Surviving are her children, Mary Lynn Shaw (Larry) Pearlman, of Sleepy Hollow, Timothy (Nancy) Shaw, of Michigan, and Gregory Shaw, of White Plains. She is also survived by her four granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Alfred, she was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers.
