Amie Hannon Crabtree, beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many, resident of Bedford died on Tuesday, Oct. 17 after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 55.

Amie was born in Bronxville to loving parents Richard "Dick" and Mimi Crabtree, recently deceased and spent her childhood in Yonkers with her six siblings.

Amie graduated high school from Our Lady of Victory Academy in 1980 and followed her extraordinary artistic talent to the School of Visual Arts in NY City, where she received her BFA in 1985. Amie was an independent Art Director and Designer for more than 30 years, lending her talents to various companies including World Wrestling Federation, Scholastic books, and American Studio, among others.

Amie discovered her passion for competitive bodybuilding, which she competed in successfully for many years. That experience helped her to develope extensive knowledge of nutrition and physical fitness. She grew this newfound talent into a parallel career as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer at the Saw Mill Club East in Mount Kisco, where because of her caring and nurturing nature, she won a dedicated clientele with whom she formed unbreakable bonds of friendship.

Amie's aesthetic sensibilities were extremely important to her family's restaurant Crabtree's Kittle House where she provided the artwork for all marketing. She was the force behind the successful Sparkle for a Cause series of fundraisers at the Kittle House which has raised more than $150,000 for local charities in the name of the Amy Marie Crabtree Foundation (Team Amy).

Amie was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Fiona, an avid animal lover, found peace in gardening and was passionate about positively influencing the lives of others through nutrition and physical fitness. Amie shared her enthusiasm for life through humor and tell-it-like-it-is attitude.

Amie is survived by her daughter, Fiona J. Magliari, to whom she passed on many of her special talents and passions. Additionally, she is survived by six siblings: Irene Crabtree Felsman, Lisa Crabtree, John Crabtree, Maggie Crabtree (Glenn Bloiso), Clare Crabtree Eberts (Bob Eberts) and Rita Crabtree-Kampe (Stefan Kampe) and 17 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.
