Yonkers Man Charged With Attack On Mom, Kids

YONKERS, N.Y. -- New York City Police have identified and charged a Yonkers man with the beating of a woman and her children on Sunday, Aug. 24, according to LoHud.com.

Pedro Vargas, 48, of Central Park Ave. was charged with posing as a cab driver on 207th Street in New York City, the report said. The victim asked Vargas to drive her to Queens and upon arriving there, he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her in front of her three children, LoHud.com reported.
