TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – There's no reason to leave the Tarrytown area this weekend if you're looking for something to do. Here's a list of weekend events in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Irvington. 

 

Friday

 

- Warner Library presents “Cuentos y Canciones” at 10:30 a.m.

 

- The Stone Barns Center gives an insider's tour from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

- Warner Library presents Book Bunch at 4 p.m. for kids in grades first through third.

 

- Patricia Spear Jones and Brenda Connor-Bey read from their works at the Hudson Valley Writers' Center at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.

 

- Irvington High School performs “Bye, Bye, Birdie” for their spring musical at 7:30 p.m.

 

- The Irvington Town Hall Theater showcases Oscar-nominated shorts at 8 p.m.

 

- The Piano Bar at Bistro Z at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown lasts from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

 

Saturday

 

- March Math Madness at Washington Irving Intermediate School takes place from 9 a.m. to noon.

 

- Warner Library offers GED help beginning at 10 a.m.

 

- The Stone Barns Center gives an insider's tour from 11 a.m. to noon.

 

- The Stone Barns Center will teach the basics about chickweek from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

 

- The Hands-On Egg Collecting program takes place from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and noon to 12:45 p.m. at the Stone Barns Center.

 

- The Tarrytown Music Hall celebrates Tom Chapin's birthday at 1 p.m.

 

- The Stone Barns Center gives a winter farm tour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

 

- The Irvington Public Library presents traditional Irish music and poetry at 2 p.m. for Irish Heritage Month.

 

- Soprano Yolanda F. Johnson will discuss the works of Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Florence Price and Margaret Bonds at 2:30 p.m. at Warner Library.

 

- Irvington High School performs “Bye, Bye, Birdie” for their spring musical at 7:30 p.m.

 

- Rob Bartlett performs at the Tarrytown Music Hall at 8 p.m.

 

- The Piano Bar at Bistro Z at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown lasts from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

 

Sunday

 

- The Hands-On Egg Collecting program takes place from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and noon to 12:45 p.m. at the Stone Barns Center.

 

- The Snow White Workshop performs “Snow White Jellybeans” at the Tarrytown Music Hall at 11 a.m.

 

- The Stone Barns Center gives a winter farm tour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

 

- The Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin on Route 9 in Tarrytown at 1:30 p.m. and end at Kendal Avenue in Sleepy Hollow.

 

- Irvington High School performs “Bye, Bye, Birdie” for their spring musical at 2 p.m.

 

- Warner Library will host a free Klezmer concert at 3 p.m.

 

- Sierra Burnett Clark will discuss American bourbon from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stone Barns Center. Admission is free for members, $10 for non-members.

 

- Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo perform at the Tarrytown Music Hall at 8 p.m.
