TARRYTOWN, N.Y. The Junior League of Westchester-on-Hudson is looking for women.
The non-profit organization will host an open house Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the League House in Tarrytown to recruit volunteer-minded women who are 21 or older.
The Junior League of Westchester-on-Hudson was established in 1932 and works to help school-aged children. The league also works to promote leadership qualities and encourage friendship within its members.
Tuesday's Open House will include guest speaker Lori Hall Armstrong, the principal and chief activation officer of a boutique strategy activation firm specializing in public-private partnerships in education. Armstrong served as the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Director under former Gov. Eliot Spitzer.
