Truck Hits Overpass In Rye, Causing Metro-North Delays

Metro-North experienced New Haven Line delays of up to 15 minutes at the tail end of the Tuesday morning due to an earlier speed restriction caused by a truck hitting an overpass in Rye.

The truck hit the overpass at the intersection of Route 120, Cedar Street and Highland Road, under the Metro-North bridge, causing the slowdown on all four tracks.

Metro-North advised customers to listen to announcements at local stations in a statement posted a 8:43 a.m. Normal service was restored around 10 a.m.
