TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — There’s no reason to leave the Tarrytown area this weekend if you’re looking for something to do. Here’s a list of weekend events in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Irvington.

Friday

Farmer's Market : Stone Barns Center’s produce, meat and eggs will be on sale from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 630 Bedford Road, Pocantico Hills.

Slapering Hol Press Second Friday Reading Series at the Hudson Valley Writers' Center. 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.

Civil War 150th Anniversary Exhibit at the Sleepy Hollow-Tarrytown Historical Society. 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jacob Odell House at 1 Grove Street in Tarrytown.

Piano Bar at Bistro Z at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown. 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday

Anthony Ruggiero and John Kelly Memorial Car, Truck & Bike Show : Green St. Parking Lot: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Trophies, vendors, food, drinks and music. Admisssion is $5 for spectators.

Sleepy Hollow Street Fair : Beekman Ave., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendors, food, music.

Hudson River Swim for Life : Kingsland Point Park, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hundreds of swimmers will be assisted by kayakers and power boaters as they swim three miles from Nyack to Sleepy Hollow.

Robin Birrittella Memorial 5K Run & Walk : Tarry Crest Swim and Tennis Club, 8:30 a.m.

Kayaking : Rent a kayak between noon and 5 p.m. on the Tarrytown Lakes Saturdays and Sundays. Instruction available 9 a.m. to noon by appointment. Call 682-5135 or visit www.KayakHudson.com .

Tarrytown Farmer's Market at Patriot’s Park. 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tarrytown Farmer's Market in Patriot's Park every Saturday through Thanksgiving draws together farmers and artisan foods producers from around New York State, selling fresh fruit and produce, chicken, eggs, cheese, baked goods and more. The market also features live music, children's activities, plus representatives from a multitude of community groups. It's the place to shop, meet up with your neighbors and find out what's going on in the village.
