Walston's experience includes years of service as the chaplain to children at Westchester Medical Center, as chaplain at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Montrose, and through ordination with the African Methodist Episcopal Church. 

A graduate of New Brunswick Theological Seminary, Walston has already begun ministry with the Sunday School and with the programs for middle and high schoolers and college students.
