Josephine Gagliardi of Tarrytown died September 21 in Boynton Beach, FL at the age of 100.
Born in Italy on April 1, 1911, she was the daughter of Francesco and Santina Colletta Ambrosina. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 19 and was a resident of the former North Tarrytown and Tarrytown for over 80 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Gennaro, her son Frank, granddaughter Donna Marie and grandson Michael. She is survived by her sons Vincent of Tarrytown, Dominick of Boynton Beach and Jerry of Brattleboro, VT and her grandchildren Frank Gagliardi of Schoharie, NY; Susan Pilossoph of Tarrytown, Ann Marie Perrella of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Becky Prain of Westfield, MA and Jason Gagiardi of Brattleboro, VT. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Gagliardi was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow, where she was a member of its St. Ann Sodality. She was a former seamstress and a member of the ILGWU.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
