Tarrytown Police Charge Driver With DWI

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tarrytown police charged a teen with driving while intoxicated after a car accident on Sheldon Avenue.

Kali Pearl Yodice, 18, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent, a misdemeanor, after a caller reported a car accident had caused injuries on Sheldon Avenue around 11 p.m. April 10.

Emergency responders found no injuries at the accident scene, but found the driver allegedly was intoxicated.

Yodice was later released.

Police also reported the following items:

Scratched Car: A man called to report his mother's car had been scratched with a sharp object while it was parked overnight April 12 on Meadow Street.

Cat in Tree: A Barnes Road resident reported her cat wouldn't come down from a tree and requested the fire department help her around 4:30 p.m. April 11. Police informed the woman the fire department does not perform that service.

Drug Bust: Police charged Teron Flemin, 36, with fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanor, around 10:30 a.m. April 11.

Mace Arrest: Police stopped Walter Nivens, 40, at the Lyndhurst entrance around 1:30 p.m. April 10 when a check revealed his registration allegedly was suspended. Police charged Nivens with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, a traffic offense, and unlawfully possessing a noxious material, a misdemeanor, after police allegedly found mace.

Mulch Fire: Someone called police from an office building on White Plains Road to report smelling a fire around 5 a.m. April 10. Firefighters found a small mulch fire near the side of the building, which they extinguished.
