TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Thanksgiving is less than a week away and several local places will be shutting down for the holiday. The following is a list of municipal and school closures for this week.
Tarrytown will close Village Hall on Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. Tarrytown will not pick up trash on Thursday or Friday.
Irvington will close Village Hall on Thursday and Friday to observe Thanksgiving. Irvington will not pick up trash on Thursday or Friday. Recyclables will be picked up on Wednesday.
Students at the Union Free School District of the Tarrytowns will get out of class on Wednesday for a staff development day and Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving recess.
Students in the Irvington Union Free School District will have no class on Thursday or Friday.
Transfiguration School will release students at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday. No classes will be held on Thursday or Friday.
Hackley School is closed Wednesday through Friday. Students in grades 5 through 8 will be released at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
