TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Crews have taken to the streets in Tarrytown and Irvington. Both villages are currently milling and paving roads. Tarrytown is also carrying out its water main project of cleaning and lining mains with cement mortar.
Tarrytown is asking cars not to park on Wilson Park Drive from north of Beech Lane to Tower Hill Road as it continues milling and paving that street.
Tarrytown also began work on water mains on Sheldon Ave. and surrounding streets. Crews are cleaning and lining water mains with cement mortar. There won't be disruption in water service at this time, according to the village.
However, there will be water shutdowns as the project proceeds, the village announced. You will be given prior notice of any interruptions or inconveniences that this project creates.
Irvington announced a revised milling and paving schedule on Tuesday morning. Department of Public Works crews will be milling Dows Lane, Half Moon Lane, Aqueduct Lane and Jaffray Park on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 a.m. To 6 p.m. A previous announcement had crews milling on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Those roads in Irvington won't be closed, but the village says to expect delays. Dows Lane will be accessed through the gate on Oak St. and Willow St.
