Tarrytown Firefighters Rescue Cat, Seek Owners

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tarrytown firefighters have rescued a cat, but this time they didn’t have to climb a tree or rush into a burning building – the kitty came to them.

The gray-and-white feline turned up at the Riverside Engine Co. No. 4, Engine 80, at 110 Franklin St.

Its picture was posted on the Lost Pets of Westchester County website and the Tarrytown Fire Department’s Facebook page.

The unofficial mascot, the post said, “has been taken care (of), loved and fed by our dedicated volunteers.”

But, it added, they would like to see the kitty returned to its rightful owners.

The firehouse’s phone number is (914)-631-9504.
